This is unnecessarily snippy towards Lee and the article. Yeah the guy is a boss, and his critique of climate libs is probably as much a factor of their not as being easy marks for upsells as mcmansion-dwellers. But the issue is that these are the conditions such as they stand, and they need to be understood as they are. Contractors are going to be putting heat pumps into houses because of the IRA! It matters if they think its a bad bill whether their bad politics and class position is clouding their judgment or not! Everything is culture war and politics but also there should be more room for reporting the on-the-ground reality of people with bratty politics without accusations of complicity.

Labour produces all the wealth of nations, excepting the natural wealth which lies within the borders of States. Those who are employed to produce the wealth make up about 90% of the population. They are the working class. Those who end up owning the lion's share of the wealth make up about 10% of the population. They are the ruling class.

The bottom 90% trade the ownership of the wealth they produce for the price of their skills to buyers in the labour market who then go on to employ their wage-slaves to produce goods and services as commodities for sale with a view to profit or as goods and services necessary to keep the system of class domination by the upper 10% running as smoothly as it can. This system was called, "the wage system" by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. They called on workers to inscribe, "abolition of the wage system" on their banners.
